Theres another Algarve beyond the summer.

The summer crowds are gone, the countryside turns green and the days are still made for being outside. Think long lunches in the sunshine, walks through the hills, trips to the coast, and evenings tucked up in front of the wood burner with a glass of red wine.

Our houses sit in the hills, with space to slow down and settle in. It’s peaceful without feeling remote — Faro, the beaches, markets, restaurants and villages of the eastern Algarve are all within easy reach.

A place to stay for a little longer.

Come for a week, a month, or somewhere in between. Work remotely, escape the colder weather, spend time with family, or simply have a change of scenery.

Fora has everything you need for a comfortable longer stay, including a private outdoor space and access to a shared garden, pool and barbecue area. Sunny days, cooler nights — our favourite time of year.

The Algarve, without the summer rush

Winter days here are often bright and warm enough for a coffee outside or lunch in the sun, while the evenings have a cooler, more cosy feel.

It’s a great time to explore:

  • the quieter beaches of the eastern Algarve

  • the hills and walking trails around Estoi and São Brás de Alportel and Santa Catarina

  • Tavira, Olhão and the small coastal villages

  • local markets and traditional restaurants

  • cycling, hiking and days exploring the countryside

  • Faro and the Ria Formosa

And when you come back, there’s nowhere you need to be.
